depends on how much it weighs..... i know in the 6g civic coupes there are 4 metal plates that are heavy as **** and appear to brace the area of car at the back seat.... maybe that thing would do the same thing and not weigh 100 lbs....??

1. They are easy to see, so the "my car ownz" factor is high
2. They are easy to install - no wires, no plumbing, no welding
3. They provide a placebo effect wherein the customer "feels" faster - that's what matters
4. They are cheap to manufacture in bulk - like swingsets or bike frames
5. Since they aren't actually supposed to do anything, they can't FAIL to do what they are supposed to do, avoiding unhappy customers - Most people that I have met with things like this bolted to their cars spend a lot of time trying to convince others that they make some huge difference in handling, so they don't look silly for spending the $$
Frankly, any of these things are a joke on a street car. If you need bracing, you need to be on the race track, where some reinforcements actually make a difference. We used a strut bar on our rally cars to keep the shells from coming unzipped, but we also seam welded them and ran mega-point cages, gusseted strut towers, and a bunch of other stuff.
Spend the money on autocross entries instead!

Adjustable to fit in any car! Mounts in a central spot in your car between the front and rear seat floor. Bolts into your seat-belt mount.
That sold me on it right there!
