Stainless tigging / some ideas / stainless tube
Howdy,
I'm pretty new to tigging I picked up a harbor freight tig machine for around 250 bucks which actually wasn't "that" crappy but I got the basics of it welded up some 2 inch steel nut's to each other the beads look really nice "for only tigging about 5 hours" ... after a easy decision I returned it and am going to pick up a 200DX miller tig and well.. go for broke, since it does aluminum, and is 1000% higher quality then harbor freight nonsense..
Below is the little creation I made, as you can tell there are 2 distinct colors of bolts the wing things attached to it and the tail are all tigged the rest is wire feed.
I had a 5 gallon bucket filled with them and wanted to get creative.
Moving on.. I obtained probably 10-15 stainless steel tubes about 12 feet long 1 and 1.5" in diameter and was thinking about making some like harness bar's and attempting to duplicate some of the designs I see for strut bar's and rear X braces in the EG civic. "build it in the car but make it removable"
So does anyone have any tips or ideas for what to make with the tubes?
Comments welcome!

u got too much time on your hands man! haha... but your welds are much more colorful than mine and i have twice the hours practicing tig as you do! bravo~!
Thanks! for the comments,
Honestly the harbor freight tig isn't that bad at all.. I mean its crap but it has a usable arc.. honestly I couldn't tell the difference between the green and red banded tungsten rods.. "maybe someone could shed some light on it"
The tig was here http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog.../category/682/ it's totally worth the money if you invest in it, for simple DC only metals.
I believe if you had some know how you could modify the torch end to accept a better Weldcraft torch or do a water cooled torch.
It's cool, the only thing that I find slightly funny is you end up with about 30-40 one'ish inch tig rods left over.... ...spiky hair perhaps on my robot thingy?
I'll have to get some more nuts and make another one... I sure hell know no one isn't going to run off with it! it weighs about 120 pounds! hahaha

different tungsten additives have a wide range of effects a quick google will tell you what your looking for.
you would probably be able to tell the difference if you were welding aluminum. between the green and red tungsten that is, or if you were using a lot more amps.
and nice creation i like the tail maybe put some "spikes" on that like a stegosaurus
