I've recently bought a B18A motor from a 90-93 teg to swap into my 95 ej1. A few parts didn't come with the engine...like the alternator. I bought in alternator from a B18B a few days ago but I don't know if it will work. Will I need alternator from this motor or will any B18A-B18B work?

Same question about the alternator belt as well.

 

yes as long as it a obd1 alternator... odb1 and ob2 connectors are different

you can buy any b series alternator will bolt up,obd1 can be wired up to obd2. theres a diagram up on here somewhere.

 

As long as you get a obd1 alt your good to go for plug and play
