my car has been down for over a month and still cant firgure out the problem. so i have no spark was so ever. i changed my coil,icm,cap,rotor, and when that failed i took my buddys whole distribator off of his gsr and put it on my car and nothing. not i am thinking it is something to do with the wiring harness. i know the kid had a real good alarm in my car before i got it cause its a em1 commonly stolen. but i am thinkin when he took it out to sell it to me he put eveything back together in a rush. i mean i had problems with my headlights due to hacking into the lighting for the alarm but idk if there is a wire the alarm if the alarm was activate it wouldnt start.like a "kill switch" and that wire was taped up and shorted out on me. becuase after all i did i couldnt see why i wouldnt be getting any spark. i am really confused. PLEASEEEEE HELPPP

 

Does the fuel pump prime?

Does the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil and ICM have battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

Any CEL codes?

 

Check your fuses.

 

Listen to ronj he knows his **** i just had the same poblem, if you did the cfk trick check it over, but you said it was a 99 so as long as its usdm it should be hooked up and wouldnt have to do that, i think only jdm gsr's never came with cfk's. When i did my cfk trick i clipped the wire in the wrong spot which gave me hell for 2 days. After that fiasco i went to the dizzy pulled everything apart and re saudered everything. hope the input helps keep us posted.
