this is on my EG civic hatch, When i turn on the ac and my compressor kicks in while the car is idling it makes a little noise cant really hear it but as u increase the rpm the noise increase too!!! the belt is tight but not sooooo tight and it's not loose... any thoughts? can it be the clutch inside the compressor going out? how do i check??

 

Yeah, sounds like a bad clutch mechanism. It's a tight space, but the clutch can be replaced without removing the compressor and its refrigerant lines.

 

if i take out the clutch from the compressor, will the freeon and air pressure bust out and get at me?
