2002 Accord V6 Radiator and A/C Fans
Hello,
I have a 2002 Honda Accord V6 3.0 4Doors
and one of my fans stopped working today, I still cant figure out which one it is, all I know is that is the one on the driver side..
Please help me with some tips so I can start troubleshooting mysekf before I take it to a mechanic.
Which fan is the one on the driver side, how is it call?
Where are the releys or fuses that I can check?
What else can I test??
Thank you so much for any help!!!!

I looked at a picture just now, the serpentine belt is located on the right side of the car (passenger), so that's where the AC compressor is, therefore... right side fan is for the air conditioning. The left side must be the fan that helps cool the engine, called the radiator fan.
It's common for these motors to give out some day, it may have just happened.
BTW, how do you know that it stopped working? It's supposed to come on only at a certain temperature.

If your air conditioning works, turn it on. both fans should run when it is active. If one of the fans comes on but the other does not, then you need to disconnect the 2 pin connector from the offending fan. Take a voltmeter and check for voltage by contacting the positive pin to the red probe, and the black probe to any of the body grounds. If there is voltage, you have a bad fan.
Of course you should check your fuses first, they will most likely be in the underhood fuse box. Underneath the cover there is a schematic telling you what the various fuses do.
