Ok, this has been goin on for a couple weeks now and it's pissin me off. My car vibrates under the dash at idle... sometimes.. but goes away once i either raise the RPM's a lil or start driving...that's the first problem. THEN, anywhere from 50-60mph my car shudders when i'm just cruising with minimal pressure on the gas pedal... could this be because of tire needing balancing?? but it only happens in that mph range. PLEASE HELP!!

lugnuts
Tire balance
Idle speed (for stopped vibration)

Then come back and repost if still there.

 

Ok.. got my tires rot/bal. now, i haven't been able to see if it still shudders at 50+mph but it still vibrates during idle, now what can that be?? it vibrates right up under the glove box it seems.

 

The vibrations at idle could be the result of a loose engine mount. I had a loose driver side upper mount and at a stop sign or stop light the dash would shake like crazy. The body shop never tightened it up after fixing the front end from a collision I had. Good luck.

 

will i be able to tighten that myself if that's the case??

ok.. yep, the shudders are still there at around 55mph. doesn't happen when i speed up, but happens when it switches to 4th gear(auto) around 50-60mph and rpms at 2200. what could this be???

 

any opinions on the matter??
