So the story goes like this, and yes I feel like a tard already; I ran a mechanical temp guage off of my thermostat housing. Not thinking that the line back to the guage would become charged, I ran the line assuming that the gasket, which is non metallic would prevent the other side of the housing from becoming charged. Well apparently it didn't prevent anything. Once the line hit other metals, I believe it shorted out a LOT of ****.

Symptoms with Key in ON position
Blinkers/sidemarkers stuck on
Brake light in dash stuck on
door light on dash stuck on like door is open
check engine turns off

when turning all the way
Main Relay clicks
doesnt crank

With Key off /not even in the ignition
check engine light stuck on
oil pressure light stuck on
Blinkers/sidemarkers stuck on

I love chasing short circuits!!!!!
But yeah, any ideas??????

 

wow. go to the junk yard and grab as many relays as you can and just replace all of them.

 

Yeah, pretty much. I am going to be running the test light and the multimeter for days.
