Some spooked me, and told me that I can't powder coat forged wheels, I just got some Curbed TE-37's for my friends Civic, it's like b day present for her, can i powder coat them or will they have to be painted.

 

It doesn't matter if they are forged or what. They just have to be stripped down to bare metal for the powdercoat to stick...

You can send them to any number of places for repair and refinish. I've used Hubcap Exchange in Suitland, MD and THe Wheel Exchange in Ralei9gh, NC is another good shop. Whatever you d, make sure that the rims are ture before going any further-I use A&M Wheels near Pittsburgh as he can do the entire job locally, or at least send the powder coat out. Powder coating is an art and I recommend you find someone that understands wheel finishing.
