good 195/50/15 tires for around 40-50 bucks?
been running the doral 195 50 r15 for a while now and want to change it to something new, looking to spend about the same amount i spend on these doral's $49.99 a tire... lmk what u guys have ran before/or currently that gave no problems. not looking for a stick icky tires just something to roll with that will give no problems, just want something to roll smooth with. thanks
The only tires you're going to find for $40-50 are crappy tires. However, if you're willing to spend $60 - with free shipping (for which most online dealers charge around $15/tire) - then you can get the Yokohama S.drive. It's a very good summer tire (don't use it on snow, but it's great in rain and on dry pavement). Discount Tire sells them for $70 each and Yokohama has a $40 rebate, so four of them will cost you $240. It's the best deal around for really good 195/50-15 tires.
You get what you pay for. $40 will buy you some used, out-of-round, dangerous tire that I wouldn't use on a bycicle, let alone a car.
For $13 more, you can get a decent Yokohama S.drive or the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 (as long as wet traction is not a concern) and be sure you're getting something that will perform well and not break the bank.

Tires
ok so i just placed a order on 2 of the yokohama s drives, i got them for 58 bucks each at discounttires.com total was 136 even shipped to my doors. is this a deal?? looks like a pretty good deal to me lol....
i got a question, im going to do a alignment on my car after i put on the new tires, do i have to replace all my bushings on the front end of the vehical? the two knuckle arm bushings with the castle head nuts seems to be ok and the front LCA bushings seems to be in ok shape i mean they have a little crack but are still very stiff and still holds, the only bushings i see thats kinda fuccked is the tie rod bushings, but again it holds very stiff no play or nothing... i was thinking about just changing the tie rod bushings for the hell of it.
and one last question, im currently running some cheap ebay coil overs, i have herd that coil overs can increase wear on the innerside of the tire threads and say that springs would be better and will help save tires from wearing out. should i replace the coil overs with regular springs before i take it in for a alignment?
