OBD-1 injectors in OBD-0..help!
I did a search and did find some info but I'm still a little fuzzy. From what I've read I CAN use OBD-1 injectors on a OBD-0 car if and only if I remove the resistor box. That being said. There are 5 wires, 1 yellow and 4 red. Do I sodder all those together? Do I need to do anything else? Thanks.
I have the whole harness that cam with the OBD-1 ZC(1992) including the clips so I'm set there. I'll connect all five together and see what happens...
or you can simply modify the OBD1 injectors by dremeling off the tabs so they slip in the OBD0 plugs...that way you wont have to do splice all of the injector plugs into your harness and risk a bad connection.
btw, why are you doing this?
btw, why are you doing this?
My car is an HF...but HF injectors do not flow the same as Si or ZC ones...so to get more power I wanted to use the injectors that came with my ZC...but I got a OBD-1 ZC instead of a OBD-0, hence the plugs are OBD-1 not OBD-0. I did the work and wow, what a difference. much faster now!
Is there any advantage or a need to run obd1 injectors on a obd1 converted obd0 system ? Im using all obd1 components, except the injectors. Its been running fine. I still left my Injector resistor box inline btw...
