Default Fuel pump not priming (searched)

94 accord, 94 h22 swap.

car ran before i removed the motor for some work. Tried to start over the weekend and the car would not prime the fuel pump.

when i turn the key to II i can hear a rather rapid clicking behind the dash. and the cel comes on, but it is dim. The car will turn over.

Im assuming the clicking is a relay. Does it sound like Im not grounding the batt, engine, chasis very good or is the relay on the way out?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a voltage drop somewhere.

Had a similar problem once with my CRX, ended up being one of my grounds but you can check here if that doesn't fix it: http://techauto.awardspace.com/mainrelay.html

if you hear the clicking in the dash (drivers side, i think), it probably is the relay. you can probably pull it out and test it and the socket w/ a multi-meter, or just buy a new one, or a known good used one, and try swapping it.

i would probably start just by rechecking all the connections in the engine bay, and where ever the relay grounds (probably a ground block somewhere in the dash). if that checks out, i would try can try swapping out the relay, or testing it and the connections.
