Default How big can you go without sacrificing A/C(pics welcome)

I have put together a few cars in my time that made great power. I am finally keeping a car for once after my stuff got stolen long ago.

Current set up.

96 Civic HX
B16A
ITR Mani
DC Header
Stock Cat and Stock Intake

Plans:
B18C5 Block,
Block guard
10:3.1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Stock Crank
ACL Bearings
ARP Mains

B16A Head: ITR Cams/Pro 1s with Springs and Retainers

1000cc Injector Dynamis

E85 NUFF SAID

Now Derek Robinson will be tuning the car for me as he has before.

He tuned a pistons and rods LS/VTEC for me on and made 420WHP on T04E 3" Hot side on 20lbs.
Also tuned my last put together car GSR with ITR Cams, BLOX ITR Mani with Headstuds on a SC61 at 12lbs made 410WHP.(Amazing)

Now my question for you gentlemen is how big can I go without messing with the A/C lines and stock condensor. I think the best I can do is put a slim fan on the other side and tuck the consenser under the radiator support to add room for a Downpipe or charge pipe. I would also heat wrap my lines and down pipe. A turbo blanket might be used.

My biggest thing in this factor is I dont like sweating anymore than I have to. I love power steering and A/C. I know much of you guys think oh this guy is a ***** bla bla bla Power steering and A/C is for wussies. Well I think I have owned anything from 92-00 and any B swap, H swap, and K swap.

I have had my good 8 years of Hondas with no PS or AC. My final car isnt going to be the fastest or the freshest but can be a practical car that offers the UMPH that I desire without losing driveability.

E85 is going to be used for great mileage, availibity, cost effective, also high octane
1000cc Injector Dynamics for driveability, and no wiring mess....plug and play
A/C I LOVE IT

My goal is simple. 400-500whp on HiBoost. Boost by gear. Neptunes. E85. Built Block. AC. Daily Driver.

I think its feasible. Call me crazy but its been done before without AC and I think I can do with it. Again my compression levels are higher than average for more power on less boost. Yet safe.

All opinions please chime in. Any good flowing AC compatible manifolds and downpipes or kits? Post pics of your A/C Turbocharged B Series.

Oh for the pics here are some of the whip. I know the pics it shows that it doesnt have A/C but it does.

www.speedfactoryracing.net/store

They have kits that will fit your car and still retain ac and ps. They do GREAT work man! Hit them up.

This is in an EJ1 with PS, A/C, Cruise, ABS, everything it came with from the factory. It's the Full Race A/C compatible manifold with a GT3076R. Make's 400hp and still blows cold A/C. Granted I wrapped the manifold, dump tube, down pipe, A/C lines and put a blanket on the turbo.

For sure it's doable. As seen above the full race manifold is awesome. Only thing is you have to run a 1/2 radiator.

Everyone keeps mentioning the a/c compatible manifolds from speedfactory. I can't find the manifold on that site. I'm looking for one for a d series.

I had a T3/60-1 with S compressor cover on a RLD-Fab AC mani on my integra for 3 years. Ac worked ok but if I had wrapped the mani, etc it would have worked better. I made 550whp on race gas and 400whp on pump gas at the time

My suggestion to you is to spend the money up front and do it right. Also AC lines are a bitch and most of the time will be an issue with fit. I had to make custom AC lines. The design of the manifold and where the downpipe connects to the turbo can be an issue with the compressor being real close to each other. Good luck

By half you mean in thickness? That sucks...I have a Koyo currently installed so I will have to either tuck it or switch it.....Ehhh I definately dont want to give up my expensive Koyo. Im pretty sure its dual core.

Your rad will be fine. The full core rad in the Integra is what I believe they were talking about. I had to swap out my full core stock Integra rad for a half core Koyo.

I think you guys got size and core mixed up. Full size single core is what comes standard in the integra. You will need to run a half size Dual core radiator if you want to keep your AC.

That's what I was telling him. He has a civic, so he doesn't have a full core rad. He has the half core rad. He was thinking half core meant he had to use a single core civic rad. A dual core civic rad will fit fine.

Hope that makes sense...

lol, your making the same mistake bud. Your statement above "full core" & "half core" does not make sense, its full Size or half size. The core is the thickness so "full thickness" does not make sense, hope that clears things up for you. cheers

Yeah, I see what you mean. Terminology getting swapped around. Like using all motor when technically the term should be all engine or NA.

Anyway, the Koyo civic rad will work. That should hopefully clear up any confusion that was created.

YES they do!!!! You have to call them. Speak with Matt or Ricky. I was going to be their first a/c compatible customer but backed out at the last minute because I couldnt wait the extra time to fabricate. But Ricky was ready to weld it up for me. All you gotta do is call. THEY WILL MAKE ONE I PROMISE!!!

LOL, saying that they do, but then that they will have to fabricate one first, does not mean they have molds steadying available. All right here https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...6#post43362836
