Default Hydraulic Clutch Conversion 1989 Honda Crx with B18c5

Im just wondering if anyone has converted their crx to a hydraulic clutch. I have a b18c5 swap in my track car with the hasport hydro to cable conversion kit. I hate the way the kit is setup and in general I have had way to many problems with trying to get the clutch to engage properly. I have to push the clutch to the floor before it will fully engage and it will not release until the clutch pedal is fully released and then it proceeds to grab after the clutch pedal is completly out. Does anyone happen to have a parts list for converting to hydraulic clutch? Thanks for any help. Also if anyone knows how to get the hasport piece of **** to work better please instruct me on fixing it.

I welded my clutch setup off the original assembly similar to the sonem price shown in the above thread. With the master directly coupled tithe pedal it feels like the car came factory with a hydro setup. I had bought the Hasport peice and didn't trust it one bit so I opted to weld. This was about 6 mos before the bolt in part was offered. It's the only way in my book.

To the OP, pick up a junk '92 - '93 Integra cable tranny, doesn't matter if its an RS/LS/GS/GS-R it just has to be from a '92 - '93 ('90 - '91 wont work for this) and swap the guts from your ITR transmission into the cable case. Then theres no need to screw around with a shitty conversion setup (which most likely costs more than a cable case would) and its easier than trying to swap in full hydraulic clutch setup.

"94EG8", is this a complete plug-n-play swap or is there more to it? Thanks.

If you have a GS-R/ITR i believe you have to grind the inside of the case around the final drive a little, other than that its 100% plug and play, i'm pretty sure theres a write up on here somewhere, i'll see if i can find it.

YS1 cable cases are pretty easy to find around here, but obviously it varies by location.

I have mine in my B18C(R) and to this day no problems with Hasport hydraulic conversion. What i did was mess around with cable adjustment and got it to engage right.

Not exactly on subject but I'm wondering, can this be done with a d series hydro trans into an L3 ef trans?

I think I'm gonna do this to the ys1 casing I got instead of buying the newer hasport kit, hopefully with itr internals.

I was also planning on getting a hydro trans for my ZC as well, and if I didn't have to buy the conversion kit for it either would be great....

possibly with an '89 - '91 tranny ('88 wont work), mista bone would know for sure. If it was me i'd just get a CG tranny out of an '86 - '89 Integra (they're supposed to be pretty much bullet proof and geared low)

Edit, link to swapping a CG tranny in an EG, doesn't really apply to you, but its got some cool info and pics on the tranny itself. --> https://honda-tech.com/forums/transmission-drivetrain-127/cg-tranny-onto-d16z6-everything-you-wanted-know-2276278/

They do, same as a '96 - '00 D-series tranny. At this point you should probably start another thread btw, this is really starting to deviate from the original topic.

Wow guys thanks for all of the input. I guess I forgot about this thread.

I ended up swapping the guts into a ys1 trans case that I had laying around. Worked like a charm. You do need to do some grinding on the inside of the case though.

Thanks to everyone that replied.
