Help needed with welding the front differential in a 90 Civic
Im running the car strictly on dirt tracks and want both tires spinning together as cheaply as possible, so I was going to look into welding the front diff but everything Ive found so far is for the rear diff, Im wondering if anyone has any experience or knows of a writeup showing pics, I have a 1990 Honda Civic hatch with a 4 spd manual trans, any help would be awesome!
Thanks!

We did that back in the early 90s when we didn't have money for an LSD. Make sure you have stub axles inserted into the diff when you weld the spider gears, or else they won't line up, and you'll never get the axles into the diff afterwards.
You of course know that you have to strip the transmission down and take out the diff, right?

I asked a former drag racer who now road races about this. His tip was to make sure to have the drive shafts installed when you weld in order to keep things where they should stay. Not having the drives hafts installed could lead to some mis-alignment during the welding process. Good Luck.
