MY CAR!!! i want a 4door!
i've put the damn thing up for sale in this damn forum who knows how many times. c'mon, everybody is like ooooo and aaaaah, but nobody will actually consider buying it! why not?
it's an 87 Civic Si with b20vtec. motor has almost every bolt-on available cept for cams. ran a 13.5@104 but obviously has more potential. with good driver/slicks, this car can hit 12s easily. the interior and suspension have a fair amount of goodies as well. have reciepts for EVERYTHING and motor is practically brand new, TONS of new parts (radiator, water pump, timing belt, valves, valve seals, etc. etc.). the motor was professionally built by the way.
all i want is 4200 buckaroonis. you won't find a faster and more unique car than this for that price. i'm putting it in the autotrader this week, but i'm not looking forward to the tire kickers and the annoying phone calls. i can post pics if asked.
or if any of you have a nice 88-89 Accord LXi...i'd be willing to trade...

I mean i'm sure that the motor is a B20vtec and everything but it's probably been beaten down a lot. i sorta don;t want it because it's a old car(cassie wise) and the motor is not reliable.. but i don't car about the motor since i'll be going turbo in that anyways. I need to get rid of one of my cars before the Oddessy arrives. The dealership will only give me 2,600 for my 10th annvery. accord because it has a ex motor vs. the stock lx. get back to me asap.

when the swap was done, following was replaced: the timing belt, water pump, valves, valve seals, very mild mill on the head, ACT clutch and pressure plate, all new radiator/heater hoses, honda fuel filter, o2 sensor, honda head gasket, honda intake manifold gasket, vtec solenoid gasket, both new axles, honda valve cover gasket, honda shift shaft seals, and more little things. this was all done last october when it was upgraded from the B16 to B20. this past may, all four rotors (has integra rear disc) were turned, with all new pads and professionally bled. just had a recent oil change and valve adjustment last month.
it's practically a brand new motor. i'm a bitch-shifter...i shift almost everytime at 3000-3500. and i admit, it's been raced, but trust me...not many people **** with it on the street. they see it as a piece of ****, it gets zero respect mostly because it's so old and not a coupe or integra. that all changes once the hood's popped tho
so it hasn't been "beaten on" nor is it "not reliable." it's basically a motor on wheels. the body/chassis is worthless. dude...it's an 87. it's the motor that makes the car interesting. so why would you buy it and ditch the motor....

well i didn't mean to sound like a ***** or anything. Ihope i didn't offfent you by any of my statements. I said what i said because i don't know who or how they built up the motor. i hear of horror stories about B20vtecs running like 15's If and when i get the car i'll crack it open and see if everything is all good. If it pulls stronger (meaning stronger than my couseins Type R) then i wont need to open it up, and just keep the motor with the car......but if i drive it and it pulls like a old B16 then out it goes and in with the B20turbo. get what i;m saying.
but btw...this thing would KILL an R. this B20 is <u>369%</u> better and actually has TORQUE compared to the B16 when it was in the car.

i REALLY want another four door. accord, civic, 1988 corolla...anything!
i know i'll regret it later on down the road because of the motor and how much fun it is pulling away from a modded NSX....but for now i want another FoDo
