Need some help deciding
Hello!
Currently I have a 2010 Camaro SS 6spd. I am thinking about getting rid of it and buying a 2005 Honda S2000 with 22k miles to lower my payments and get into a bit of a smaller car. The car is on it's way to the dealer which is located about three hours from me. I ran a CarFax and it was completely clean with no issues, one previous owner.
What I am wondering is:
1) What do you think of the car? Obviously this is a Honda site and this is the S2000 subsection so I doubt you all hate the car, but from what I have seen I can expect stock 0-60 times just about a half a second or so slower than my SS. I'm sure it handles about 100 times better.
2) What are some issues I should look at when I inspect the car? Are these years known for any issues, or anything I should be aware of? Are they generally reliable cars or is an extended warranty absolutely imperative?
3) Does the standard CD player play MP3s or does the deck have an aux input?
4) Is there any room anywhere in the car to put say a small suitcase, dufflebag, etc? I haven't ever driven one so I know it's a two seater but wasn't sure if it had some space behind the seats or in the trunk etc.
Anything else you can suggest or want to add would be great. It should be at the dealer tonight some time and I was thinking about picking it up tomorrow.
Thanks!

By the way I don't live in Texas, I moved to S.Az a long time ago (I'm military) but I can't remember the "secret question" so I can't change my location.
If you get a convertible an issue is the top could eventually get worn out if not taken good care of hard top would be a better choice in the long run and the mpg would be a lot better than your camaro, there are also a lot of accessories that you can find to fix your car up that are available. It is a two seater but definitely enough room to put a suitcase or duffle bag in the trunk. It's a smaller car so of course it will be lighter than your camaro plus its a honda the make is just known to last long. These are of course my opinions I do not own one myself but I am hoping to once I have the extra cash
The gas mileage is not much better. 16/24 on my Camaro compared to 20/25 on the Honda. That's not huge really, especially since most of my driving even around town is on 50-60mph four lane highways. And the car is a ragtop not a hard top, so no real leeway there.
Wanted to answer this 'cause my buddy had an '05 GTO with the 6.0 LS2.
1) Most car magazines have the 2.2 S2000 at low 5s to 60, low 14s around 100 mph in the quarter. Many can get into the high 13s with bolt-ons, although the car is not a drag car and the diff likes to explode when the clutch is dropped. Although the car can be fast when you rev the hell out of it, it's going to feel REALLY SLOW compared to your LS3. You'll really need to floor it to redline to feel how quick it is. Handling is amazing and gear changes are about the best in the world.
2) Eh there's a FAQ around here I'll try to find it when I get home from work.
3) Doesn't Play MP3s and no aux input. You can add an aux input via an aftermarket add-on to the factory CD changer input.
4) Trunk is 5.5 cubic feet if I recall correctly. It'll easily fit a suitcase or duffel bag.

Well the 0-60s are about the same, most people put the Camaro SS at around 5 flat. So the .5 second or less makes it feel that much slower? I just got back from Germany for five weeks and I rented some small Audis like the TTS while I was there and while it was slower than my Camaro it actually felt more responsive at times because my Camaro weighs about 1000+ more pounds.
I have seen that it has some blind spots with the rag top but honestly I don't think you could get much worse visibility than I have in my Camaro.
