Anyone here with Toda A's in their 00 ITR?
You will gain about 3-7 Hp throughout the powerband over stock ITR cams after tuning.
There are no downsides to these cams. You can run stock valvetrain if you want and they idle like stock.
Good cams.

3-7hp does not seem like a huge gain for the $$ mind you I guess you can run pretty much everything else stock with these cams..........hmmmmm A's or B's

With headwork, that gain will increase

how about increasing rpm to 9 or 9.5 K? (or upgrading valvetrain along with it)
If your gonan upgrade valvetrain and port and polish..dont go with the A's...supermild cams...youll see much bigger gains with the B's...for a nice lil bump on stock without changing the valvetrain A's are good...with some tuning...

I miss my A's...
Anyways, if you go all out on valvetrain, go with B's. A's are a great plug and play cam with only a vafc and camgears needed to run correctly.
Money saved with A's = more money to put toward a good suspension.

the power band quickly drops after 8600.
go spec B's or C's if you want to rev to 9500 +
I saw a dyno and the Toda spec A's are not worth the upgrade in a type R. The Spec B made 190hp at the wheels on the Type R I saw.
thats purely opinion. SgT has dynos of A's making 200whp i think, so it all depends on the tuning.
It really is how you tune it and what other kind of work you have done to the motor. There are guys here making 200whp with stock cams...anything is possible really as long as you do the right things.
Can you run Toda spec B's and have a reliable everyday car?
yes, definately. there are plenty of people on this board who daily drive B's and even C's. as long as its tuned correctly, you will be fine
Toda A's are great camshafts that provide a nice increase in horsepower without upgrading the ITR valvetrain (a nice plus). However, I don't feel they are worth the price knowing B's are *ONLY a couple of dollars more.
I'm starting to like the Skunk2 stg 1 camshaft. I feel these will produce more horsepower than the Toda As and cost a lot less.

From your comments, I'd suggest you do a search on Skunk2 stage 1 cams... sounds like they might be exactly what you are looking for...
I don't have Shunk2's at this point, but from the research I've done, they'd be the first pick for what was asked. I'd say there is no such thing as "plug and play" cams... but if your refering to not having to use an upgraded valve train, it can be done with the stage 1s... you will have to do your own homework on where you want to buy...
from what i've seen, the skunk stage 1s mimic the stock ITR power band, with 5-10 more hp, which i think is a good thing. the stage 2s are like B's and would need valvetrain upgrades. Like someone said, there is no such things as 'plug and play' cams, any cams will need to be tuned with a * minimum * of cam gears and VAFC, at least if you want to get your money's worth.

with my whole setup. My dyno numbers are in my sig.
