b16a2 won't start in 96 EX (CKF related?)
I'm getting CEL 54 because I don't have the CKF sensor plugged in yet. I'm using a obd2 p30 (Del Sol Vtec) and the stock EX harness (different CKF plugs). They only other thing I don't have plugged in is the primary O2 because I only have the exhaust manifold and no downpipe (in the mail). I have the ignition timing fully advanced toward the firewall for temp until I get a timing light. It turns over and pops off really loud but it won't start. It shakes violently and the stops. Is this related to the CKF or is it something else. I gave it gas but it still won't start. What might be my trouble?
You just need to swap the CKP plugs. Match the two wires and forget about the brown wire. One plug is a two wire the other is a three wire.
That'll clear the code. Will it start the car? I dunno......
Also, check out http://www.jspectuning.com/6gen for more wiring info.

I got it running. I had the 3&4 plug wires switched......

Thanks for the help Trey, your site also helped me out a lot before I started my swap.

Glad it worked for ya.
I had that problem with the Vtec solenoid and pressure switch one time. The car would idle like crap.
for me too.
