Help with custom turbo project
I was sold a Garrett T3 turbo off of a Chrysler for very cheap for my custom turbo setup. I was just wondering what year and model car this turbo could have come from and why was the turbo only 60 dollers. It spins freely and the fins are not damaged. It seems to be in excelent condition. Here are some pics.
I plan on changing out the compressor housing with this one
I am also going to send payment for this manifold tomorrow. Anyone know what kind it is and what those things are on the #1 and#4 runners???

DONT SEND PAYMENT FOR THAT MANIFOLD, do you evan know it it will fit your car? i mean if you dont know what type it is how do you know that it will fit? dont waste your money. Unless of course you know that it is for a b series or d series or whatever your car is, and are asking what brand it is. About the turbo, t-3's are a dime a dozen thats why its cheap, is there any side play in the shaft? have you taken it apart and looked inside? looks like someone just cleaned it up though.

he said that it was for a b series and i'm getting it for a good price. He also garenteed that there were not any cracks. what else cuold go wrong??
well if you still have the stock engine in your civic then that manifold is not going to work. May i ask how much you are paying for that? btw, that will most likely not work with A/C.

So should i buy the manifold or not? it is the cheapest one i can find and the ac thing isn't a big deal. Did hks make this manifold with an external wastegate flange or was that added? thanks for all the help
