To those with JDM 4-1 headers...Hell to those with JDM headers
Is that the JDM header support?
The USDM support cannot be used with a JDM header.

No, its a JDM support...Hence the title of the post
FWIW, the Spoon header does not use the bracket.
Not many people have broken the bracket
Of Course I think i'm the ONLY one to break the Bracket on my Toda header that connects to the JDM Header Bracket
JDM Header bracket is fine though.

That could be the cause. Maybe the spring was too tight...
(Dont tell me I need JDM springs)
that sucks man.....i hope you fix it or at least find out why it happened. good luck and may the force be with you
good luck finding another one, I haven't been able to at all for the past 3 months. I was thinking about making my own.
BTW, if its not really needed, why did Honda put it there? Its a support bracket, supports weight of the header so its not all hanging off the flange at the motor.

wow, i didn't think there's alot of stress there on the flange.
i'ved gone without a header flange for the past year or so.
wonder what would it fo?
not that many ppl use that bracket.. what kind of exhaust do you have??? maybe the way your exhaust hangs or testpipe/cat....
Mine broke off after a year. When it did, it happened at the track (pocono). It was making this terrible ringing noise, that sounded like it was coming from inside the block...I thought my engine was toast...scared the **** out of me. I stuck a long screwdriver down through the headers and applied some pressure...voila...noise was gone...smile came back to my face. Whew.
I didn't bother putting one back on...it just helps to stabilize a bit, but I'd say not critical.
