2010 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Wheels 18"
I've got a 2010 Honda Accord Sedan with 16" steel wheels and caps - I want to put the 10-spoke 18" Honda Accord Coupe V6 wheels on. Does anyone know if this will work, or is the offset too much? Thanks for your help.
Thanks. I was more concerned about the difference in offset and didn't want them to rub. Also, I wanted to avoid having to get the speedo adjusted. It seems that Honda keeps the overall diameter the same on the tires, whether they are 16's, 17's or 18's - so I think I'll be ok. Just worried that there will be rubbing - going from a 215 to a 235 looks like a half inch, and with the different offset, it's going toward the inside.
Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks.

If you choose the proper tire size, the outer diameter will stay the same. Your car came with 215/60-16 tires stock. The Tire Rack recommends 235/45-18 tires for 18" wheels on your car. The 235/45-18 size is only 0.65 percent larger in diameter (26.33" vs 26.16" for the stock tires) so it's only going to affect the speedo by that tiny percentage. To put that into perspective, that's only a third of the roughly 2 percent difference in diameter between a brand new tire and the same tire when it's worn and needs replacement. Or another way to put it into perspective is to realize it's a difference of less than 0.5 mph - yes, half of one mph - at speeds below 75 mph.
As for the difference in offset, there's probably also a difference in width between the 16" and 18" wheels, so that they are probably positioned about the same place in the wheel wells, splitting the 20 mm difference in width between the outside and the inside so they don't rub.
