Default cam tdc???

i have a 2000civic ex and i did a timing belt change, i didnt do a tdc before i took off the belt, so i did tdc on the crank pully, and soo im stuck with the cam gear? i turn counter clockwise a few times before i tdc it, or does it matter how many times i turn it, or does it just need UP at 12oclock and horz line at cylinder head??

Thanks...

just make sure the bottom end is at tdc. # 1 piston is at tdc. then set the cam gear to the up position, if you're not sure if the cam gear is at tdc there is a small hole in the camshaft that lines up with a hole in the cam cap (the hole is on the first cam cap after the cam gear) put the belt on and tighten to 40 lbs
