so hears what ive been contemplating lately. i have an extra complete y7 sitting around and was thinkin of doin an NA build up, before i turbo my other engine. im gonna start with the y7 block, bore it .50 over, throw in some oversized d16a1 piston, pins and rings and top it off with a y8 head. i already have the head fully ported and polished with 1mm oversized valves. i picked up a moroso oilpan with baffle and extra qt capacity just for safe keeping. i should be around a 12.3 to 1 compression with the y7 crank. my question is should i use the y7 crank or will the a1 crank fit with a little machine work. im not to sure bout that one so any knowledge would help alot.
