Default Odyssey Build: JDM StyleWagon Content

Many of the ODY owners from other forums are on lurkers on here, haven't seen many threads started on their projects yet. Hopefully my build will encourage them to shed some light on their projects

Anyways, onto the details. Picked up this odyssey from a local family, in need of a major overhaul (interior, exterior and engine). Dents, dings, stains, cracks, rust...you name it. Needless to say, it will be a new van when I get finished with it, and back from the dead. This will be a SEMA show vehicle when I'm finished with it.

This won't be the first VIP Style Odyssey in the states, but one of the most executed, all-out full builds.

You can't tell from this picture, but it's a lot worse than it looks…. This is Day 1

Day 1570…haha

Thanks to my sponsors, Please view their products, they really have some great quality products for many different cars!

Niche Wheels, AirLift Performance, KS Tuned, Innovative Mounts, Mishimoto, Password:JDM, Second Skin Audio, Odyssey Battery, NRG Innovations,
PowerSlot Brakes, Ambitionz Auto Salon (Paint & Body), Wire-Worx, SCW Performance.

Its been a VERY long time since I updated this build, sorry for the wait guys! (2014 Update)

Since last update, we did a huge number of things…

First, the keeping the car auto was just simply not going to work. I wanted to ultimately run Hondata S300 for tuning purposes, and to do that we had to do a few things. We converted the chassis to OBD1 (to use Hondata), converted the drivetrain to Manual - We selected the T2W4 LSD Tranny from Euro-R Accord, mated to a Exedy Stage1 Clutch, and Fidanza Flywheel with ARP hardware, stainless clutch line and mc kit, Manual axles, half shaft etc. etc. and custom made poly mounts. I even adapted the Euro-R shifter cables and box to fit in perfectly. For the wiring harness, we have a custom one-off wire tuck harness (partially constructed by W/W).

Here's a few shots taken from HIN Houston - Which we won "Best Engine Bay" of the show!! Follow this build on Instagram @scwperformance #scwperformance

-------------------------------------------------- [ 2012 update ] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The body shop did an AMAZING job on this one. They put in way more hours than originally planned and it looks amazing in person. You can't find a single tape line on the body, because there aren't any. The Lexus 460 Exhaust and the JDM Tail gate look OEM to me, like they were made that way to begin with. The antenna delete, wiper delete, shaved door moldings, emblem delete all turned out great.

A FEW pictures I took from SEMA Show 2012, and the AutoFashion VIP Car Festival in San Diego, CA…

New Wheels from Rohana - 20" Staggered - Cusco Camber Arms / Cusco Toe Arms installed.

Good luck! Parts are hard to come by... you have to import everything...

On a side note, I have a Mugen Wing and a Mugen Grille for sale...if interested.

I have a 1st Gen (95 JDM) sitting in my driveway right now that needs to get parted out, imagine two tires in a cardboard box, I can mail items in a box about that size no problem if you need JDM interior parts or engine parts up to 70 lbs per box also. Its 100% complete right now and I planned on stripping it at the end of the month but you can have whatever right now, stateside shipping price, I am at a military base in Tokyo. I only need to make a few hundred for the entire vehicle and I am happy. Larger items will be sold here to make up the difference of what I need to get for the whole vehicle. I will do all the stripping too for no extra charge, I am going to do it anyways. First great buy is the EURO style tail lights, extremely bright reverse lights compared to stock. Auto window, auto AC system, JDM 2 DIN audio player with MD & CD, complete dual Air Bag system, complete ABS system minus brake lines, etc.

Looking for aftermarket parts, not oem. Only parts I need right now are the cusco upper rear control arms (camber arms). They are about $300 on YAJ new price...

^ not really in the VIP scene with those parts...

I have a mugen rear wing, but I am not using it.

I need a rear mid-wing for the hatch (goes below the window), and a hood bonnet spoiler (goes near the top of the hood). Prefer Garson or Anceltion brands...

Here's a few pics for reference:

Garson Black Leather Seat Covers arrived:

Here are the samples back from the upholstry shop...unfinished state now but soon to be perfect.

They are looking pretty fresh. We chose to match the Garson seat covers with the short grain black leather material, french seams where different sections meet. The panels have 1/4" soft foam underneath which feels plush and soft to the touch. Over that, Garson Vega material...which will match the rest of the interior when it's done.
One of the more important things was making sure that the "diamonds" line up horizontally across the panel, they did a pretty good job making sure that was on point.

Note, the door handle and door lock trim cutouts still need to be opened but you get the idea.

The matching sun visors...

Top section is short grain black leather, bottom section is Garson Vega leather.

Matching Dashmat, also done in 50/50 and internally weighted.

I have only noticed a few projector headlights over here. It looks good for that gen Odyssey. Wish they would have sent the newer gens over to the US. It lacks in nice minivans. How to you get YAJ stuff? Do you have a friend here?

I just order it through YAJ.

I'd sell my RA1 for an RB1 any day of the week...if there was a way to get RB1 here in the USA i'd buy it in a minute!
