Icon3 Need Help: Dash/Brake Lights out

This is on a 1994 Honda Accord and everything has been running great until I got in the car last night and the dash lights are out. After looking around online I saw that if they go out so does the brake running lights. I have found the blown fuse labeled "small lights" under the hood and replaced it...and as soon as I turn the lights on it will blow. Where is the next place I should look? I have a multimeter and am able to test. Dimmer relay gone bad? Short in a bulb?

So if I understand, turning on the headlights causes the fuse to blow? If so I'd remove the taillight bulbs, or check them, and see if that helps...hope you have lots of fuses.

I had this exact same problem, in fact I got pulled over for it, but luckily left with no ticket. My electrical short was behind my radio somewhere, I knew this because I took the radio out the same day and was fidgeting with it. So I took the radio out and played with the wires, put a new fuse in and it was good to go.

Service history is always helpful when asking for help.

Sorry for the delay, I have been crazy busy at work. Yes, I have just recently put a new radio in the car because when I got the car someone had taken out the stock radio. I did try taking out the brake lights and they looked perfectly fine. So just check around for problems with the brown/orange wires in the factory wiring harness. There are a lot of sharp areas in that dash and there is a good chance I may of grazed a wire. Thanks for the info and will keep everyone updated.

Light switch.

It is an easy fix. Turn the wheel all the way to the right and I think that you can do it with a Phillips headed screwdriver - it has been a few years since I had the exact same problem.

Problem solved!! It ended up being the Orange wire in the stereo wiring harness. With and aftermarket harness and stereo they pre-strip the wires for you and leave the ends on. One of the ends on the orange wire slid off a little exposing a little sliver of bare wire cause the circuit to short. I'm glad it was an easy fix. Thanks everyone!!

I have a 1994 Honda Accord Ex that has a similar problem. When I turn my lights on the instrument lights and climate control lights don't light up. A couple minutes after Turing on the lights they start to flicker then turn on and work with occasional flickering. Any suggestions?
