Tokico blues+ tein stech question?!
So i've been researching a lot and no one fully answers my question...
I have a 96 ek hatch on 15 inch si wheels with 195/55/15 tires.
Will Tokico blue shocks go well with tein s tech springs? This is for my daily driver so i need a fairly comfortable ride for about a year and a half until i get something else. Will it last? I don't want to be slammed or anything..sorry ima noob.
Also would my stock ek springs work with these shocks??
ill take any good suggestions into thought.
please refrain from posting dumb answers like "get some illuminas".. im looking for well thought out answers from people with experience...thanks.

h tech yes, s tech borderline
for the same money as blues there is the koni str.t
it's a FAR superior shock to the blues
blues are tire killers. there's so little rebound that cupping will happen if you drive hard

The blues are basically just a stock replacement. They're a bit better, but not by much.
Honestly, I had the blues for about 4-5 years and I really wish I would've just spent the extra money on the illuminas at the time (I recently just bought some from a friend). I had the Blues & Eibach Sportline setup, and they really didn't provide me with enough damping. This caused the ride to be a bit harsh over rough roads.
You'll be fine with your tires. I've never rubbed a tire, ever. I have 215/45/15 tires, which are wider than your setup. The sportlines lower me ~1.7" Front, 1.5" Rear. I previously had 205/50/15.
My brother had tein s-techs & illuminas in his del sol and it was perfect for daily driving (every single day; rain, shine AND snowy winters) and occasional road racing. You can set them to softer settings for comfort and harder setting for aggressive driving. The adjustability of the illuminas is worth the extra money, if you're buying new. Or you can hold out until you find them for the right price.

you did notice the op mentioning he had no interest in hearing about illuminas? if he wants the 300 price point the koni str.t is the only real choice
