Default b18b1 with gsr rods and pistons?

hey h-t, whats good?

neways, i've got my eg hatch with a d16z6 turbo which i just finished a month ago but now looking to go bseries swap and of course turbo it. the block i bought has a melted piston and a buddy of mine has a set of gsr rods with pistons on em still. i was wondering if these will work?

i've been searching all over forums and im not sure the info im reading is right or not but maybe h-t can set it str8..
i've read that the gsr rod is longer than the ls rod and will stick out past deck?
i've read that it will work but upping compression ratio to 10.XX:1?
i've read that you need to use the gsr crank if you wanna use the gsr rods?

all in all, i just wanna know if it will fit and if it will be worth doing? im planning on making no more than 300(actually 275-300 is great for me) and i bought a ls block from some guy but didnt know he had melted one of the pistons(claims he doesnt know anything about it).

No. not worth doing. If you have to do this on the "cheap" go with the FJ rods and pistons and call it a day
