no they will improve the throttle response by eliminating the lag that is associated with the dbw in our SI's

How does the flashpro eliminate lag? There are no tables that address the lag in the software.

You can disable the throttle damper for first gear only, and it's actually there to reduce jerkyness in first gear when going on and off the throttle while in traffic.

And the throttle table that is in the software just maps the relationship between throttle position and throttle plate opening.

It does not change the speed at which the signal is transferred withing the DBW system.

I didn't notice a difference before or after installing flashpro.

well after i did flash pro, i noticed that the lag was gone. not sure if it had to do with the disabling of the throttle damper, but that "rev hang" is no longer there.

I'm surprised nobody hasn't created a custom throttle cable to be used with a rsxs/r throttle using a rsxs/r ecu for these civics.

It's been done and implemented before.

I can tell you, I know exactly what you mean. Its like you press the gas and it just lags. Just not as responsive as your old b-series right???

I can tell you do not get a booster of any kind. Get the flashpro and a decent tune. And never look back. Its a whole new car. I can't even drive an Newer Si with out, flashpro.

Lag is horrible, vtec a 6k is too high.

To answer the other guy with flashpro, maybe its all about the tune? are you running a map tune or MAF tune?

all i know is the car is alot more responsive, its perky to say to least.

Was your car tuned based off MAP or MAF. I believe when tuned off of MAP the throttle response is greatly improved which is how I noticed mine. When tuned with MAF the responsiveness wasnt as great. I-Vtec DOHC (Max) has messed with this a lot and can give you a better personal experience answer.

Ride of the month on 8th is a black si using a throttle cable, it also has itb's so I'm sure it probably had to be converted to a throttle cable.
