Default b20b in 90 crx running lean

B20b starts and idles fine. As soon as yu give it gas it sputers nd backfires like crazy. Will drive but wit no power nd won't go past 3000 rpms without hittin a fuel cutoff. Motor is obviously runnin really hot as well. What I've done to correct is install known workin injectors, new fuel filter. I've had many ppl look at it and everyone is stumped. Please let me know of any ideas or possible causes, really need my crx back on the road.

you're basically in safe mode. the ecu is trying to stop you from damaging something so it's temporarily lowering the rev limiter. as said above, is your cel on? are the injectors you are using peak/hold type with a resistor box, or saturated ones without it?

edit: ok, well obviously your cel would be on then with the incorrect ecu. i mean really how expensive is an obd1 pr4/p75? not that much. i digress.

what makes you say it's lean. do you have a wideband?

Which gsr ecu are you using? a b17 nonvtec or the b18 vtec?

the b17 one will run it jsut fine, though you WILL need to adjust your distributor position to help correct the extra timing the b17 ecu gives the motor for performance. the B@0 is a truck motor, and cannot take advanced timing very well

If you are using teh 94+ GSR ecu, sell it for 150 bucks and buy the ecu off an integra LS

What harness are you using? what OBD are you?

both the gsr b17a1 and gsr b18c1 have vtec.

yep you're right. I assumed nonvtec since it was OBD1

get the correct ecu and an o2 sensor in and then check for any codes and go from there.
