Default CEL 6

CEL kept popping up randomly. Jumped the service connector and got 6 flashes - TW Sensor - coolant temp sensor for the ECU. Found out the wires right next to/at the connector for the sensor had become seriously marginal, hanging by a thread or actually maybe just by the insulation with the conductors broken and just barely making enough contact to work, with the occasional open to throw the CEL. Pulled the distributor and yanked the connector and pulled the wires loose. Went to the Honda dealer and said I was hopeful to lay my hands on a new connector with some wires coming out. He said I was dreaming. He was able to hook me up with some new pins for the connector at the bargain price of $.48 ea. After carefully dissecting the brittle connector I was able to crimp the new pins onto the freshly stripped wires. "Oh, so thats what those things are for on the end of the wire stripper plyer thingies." Stuck the pins back into the connector and reassembled it. It plugged in with a satisfying click. Reset the ECU, timed the engine and so far so good. Just thought I'd let you know the dealer has connector pins for rebuilding the various many connectors we all deal with. Thanks for reading.
