Ok guys as the title says. I have a 92 eg hatch with b16a swap in it. About a mounth and a half ago I had the drive axle pop out of the trans, got it fixed an got it back running, well i was driving today and ran third gear all the way out. Well pushed the clutch in and heard this grinding noise. Well coasted to a stop and tryed to take off again in gear. Well wen you let out on the clutch it makes this funny grinding noise like the throw-out bearing is messed up or something. Can i get some ideas of wat could be wrong? Thanks guys.

 

Noise made with the clutch pedal down generally points to the throw out bearing, whereas noise made with pedal up typically points to the transmission input shaft bearing.

 

Its more making noise wen the clutch is in... but like wen i went to take of and let out on the clutch it doesnt go anywhere and makes a weird grinding sound. Just wanted to confirm it was a throw out bearing, but just to be safe would i need to start looking for a trans? Thanks for the help

 

Sounds like one of your half-shafts popped out.
Splines are grinding when you let out the clutch. Should be able to push the shaft back in until the snap ring catches and get on your way.
Hopefully you didn't mess up the splines.

ok well tell me wat you guys still think. I can take my shifter fork that runs into the trans and move it all around with my hand. I dont think im supose to be able to do that. I still think ints the throw out bearing or even the fork end were it y's is broke.
