Default Import DPS Project Mayhem Si - ERL Engine & Skunk2 All Motor Power

I am gearing up the car for Honda Day. Figured this thread would shed some light on what it takes to do a Pure All Motor Car. This is a high compression engine build and rather than use the K24 block like a frankenstien I opted to retain the stock K20Z3 engine Block. Some of the fastest all motor cars use K20 blocks, just food for thought.

So lets start this with the block. Specs are clearly blanked out on purpose. If you need assistance or are looking to build something real serious, I will gladly help you. Some people have recently asked me why I chose to go with a sleeved block for an all motor setup. I have tons of experience with boosted/nitrous high compression motors. After I run this all motor for some serious times, I will go nitrous on the engine as well.

What can I say, being a ERL Performance Authorized Dealer has its perks, but ERL Performance service is always great. I am very pleased to have used there blocks on our K-Series Cars for the past 7 years. ERL Performance and the Import DPS team go back years and with tons of REAL high horsepower cars under our belt when we decided to build this car up we knew it had to be thru ERL.

Want to see the other great blocks or items ERL Performance has to offer, check out there site at ERL Performance

They offer Sleeved Blocks, Sleeved Engine Assemblies, Accessories, S2000 Oil Pump Conversions and Stroker Kits including there Signature ERL non Sleeved Stroker Motors which are about $2995 or so Shipped.

Here are pictures of the Mayhem Si K20Z3 Block. Yes, K20Z3, no K24 here

ERL Performance Block Unpacked

All ERL Performance Blocks come with a ERL Performance Certificate of Authenticity. Not only does the serial number match your block, but it also helps future sales of your parts. Its an Authentic, Professionally done K-Series engine done by ERL. After all, ERL Performance has there blocks in the fastest K-Series all motor cars out!!

ERL Performance provides a complete printout of the Specifications of the motor. These are also more commonly known and a blue print, or Engine Spec Sheet. Yes, we blocked out the specs for a reason, sorry everyone but these engine specifications are between Rick, Javy, Randy and ERL Performance.

Some more pictures of the removal of the stock engine. Import DPS Rick in Skunk2 Hat, Scott in 4bangerz shirt.

Motor Out

Where did the motor go?

Monsters under my hood haha, thats just Joe being silly.

There she rests until tomorrow.

In total, we spent 2 hours removing the engine. This included draining all the fluids and properly taking everything apart. I am so **** that I actually put all the bolts back where they come out at so no screws are mixed up.

Tomorrow I am going to probably do the suspension. Its my anniversary weekend and we have some tunes going, so I have to see how much time. The head is coming off this engine and going on the ERL Block though.

More updates to come in the next upcoming days.

RC Injectors showed up. Can't thank Carol enough, RC always hooks it up for me.

Before you ask.. Why are you using such a big injector? 750CC for all motor? Yes, they are slightly more than what I will need, however I built the motor smart. Who says you can't spray 150 shot on a high compression engine. Wanted to make sure we had enough fuel thru the injector to setup dry and control the fuel thru the Flash Pro.

why are you withholding your numbers? numbers are the main things that interest me when it comes to ridiculous projects like this.

Engine Head being taken apart.

Here is the block with all my original block stuff on it.

I think I am the first on here to run an ERL on a new Si right? Maybe anyways.

Trans going on now with new clutch kit. Going to install the head on block shortly.

Correct. I'll post up horsepower and track videos when it is done. Just don't want to release the specs of the motor.

I truely dont see the need to hide the motor specs. But I guess its super special.

When are you guys expecting to have car ready for dyno?

Guys with stock RBC's. Wait till the new Si Intake Manifold comes out. I have a prototype one that they sent me which is pretty much the production piece. 25hp and 9ft lbs of torque simply switching. When we tuned it, we got an extra 3hp and 2ft lbs.

STOCK 60mm Si DBW Throttle Body.

Sounds like much bigger gains as compared to the RRC IM which was much better than the RBC.

So I read up on your thread on 8th and I saw all what you posted. You should link everyone here to your thread on 8th.

Did you ever get everything straightened out with a new tb and all the kinks you were having.
