continued noise front susp HFP
Thought I had the problem solved, but not quite. Replaced bump stops with new design'ed ones form Honda as well as front steering bearings. Was initially better, but the noise is back. Any thoughts? I'm just about ready tho throw out the HFP!
Have you taken the Civic back to the dealership? Depending on the year this should be under warranty.
What type of noise is it? Can you decribe it in detail so I can help with a educated guess.

Better desription of the noise would help with theories.
What is the car doing when it makes the noise? (going over bumps, turning, braking, etc...)
Is it on the right side, left side, both sides?
Clicking, creaking, banging?
Are there any other mods to the suspension like Swaybars, Endlinks, Control Arms, camber bolts?

Note the title of this thread. This is an update regarding a noise described in a prior thread.

multiple times with suspension woes. Just trying to help- its hard enough trying to diagnose a suspension problem when you are witness to it let alone when it is based on a good description on the internet.Without a good description his only hope is that someone see's this thread that has had the same problem and "hole in one's it"...

And the fact that he has a FS thread for a subframe, etc...
I'd bet good money on a squeaky bushing somewhere.
Maybe swaybar endlinks, maybe CA bushings, etc...
My next question would be- does the noise go away in the warmer weather? Does the noise act up more when it rains.
Some bushing lube would be my first attempt at a fix.

The noise was continual and bothersome. Worse at low speeds, but always present. No other suspension mods. After more investigation, the Honda dealership where I bought the set-up had so many problems with this set-up that they stopped carrying it.
I installed new bump stops and checked all other possibilities and eventually just put the stock suspension back on - problem solved. No noise at all with the stock set-up.
Very disappointed with Honda OEM quality. This along with all the misc. squeaks and rattles has pretty much soured me on ever buying another Honda. Good lucK!

This may be far-fetched but its worth a shot. Ive seen more than a handful of these cars with loose dashboards. Yes... Loose Dashboards. Open the doors and at the the hinge area there are 3 round black buttons. These buttons are bolt covers. pop the covers off and see if the bolts are loose. Use a long 12mm wrench, snug em down.

Do you still have the HFP Springs/struts?
FS?
Two of the loudest rattles I was able to fix:
-Pulled off the cover to upper portion of the drivers side door and put in extra padding.
80% of the rattle is gone. Will have to put in more.
-Pulled off the right rear part of the interior that covers the seat belt apparatus and padded various portions of it ( my mechanic). 100% of this rattle gone.
-New rattle developing in the same spot in the left rear door.
I'm hoping I may of gotten all of them. The drive train so far has been good, the rest of the
quality control - poor.
