Default Swapping the prop valve... worth the trouble?

Please don't hate on me, I did a search but couldn't find anything definitive. Most posts didn't have the same setup as I have. I also saw conflicting info.

I'm in the process of redoing the brakes on my 89EF hatch.

Front:
Fastbrakes conversion with 11.1in Corrado rotors (slotted & dimpled)
Teg calipers
Axxis semi metallic pads
Goodridge stainless lines
15/16 Master Cylinder from a Civic EX

Rear:
Rear disc conversion with
Teg calipers
Axxis semi metallic pads
Goodridge stainless lines
Powerslot rotors.

The only thing that isn't getting changed is the booster, I'm using the stock one.

I have a 4040 proportioning valve, but in checking it out, it looks like a major PITA to replace. Can't get to it from the top because the intake manifold is in the way. I can't really get to it from the bottom because the crossmember is in the way. Plus, there is this black cover on top of everything. I want to setup this car for "performance street" and the occasional autocross.

Does anyone have experience before and after a prop valve swap? Is it worth the trouble? Any tips on replacing it?

Thanks

the prop valve is located on the passenger side mounted on the frame in front of the starter right above the tranny mount...you can also go to harbor freight and buy a 10mm flare wrench so that you dont strip the brake lines...!!!

Cool, I see it now right under the main harness thanks. You know how the saying goes, "If it were a snake it would have bitten me." I should have seen it since I was just working on the a/c system on my wife's CRX, it's right next to the charge ports. I was looking at the rigid brake lines and they all dissapeared under the cover on the firewall I thought it was under there. I looked for a pic but I never found one for an EF. Even the service manual didn't show a pic.

I guess I'll go ahead and change it. Tyson's excel sheet (just found that) shows that I pretty much have all the brake parts for a 92teg (except for booster), so I guess they work together.

Thanks again
