as title, im currently running a d16y7
in my 99 coupe which is obd2B.
How much wiring/modification
will be needed to make it run the
d16y8 which is obd2A?

Can i just change sensors from
my obd2b d16y7 and put them onto
the obd2a d16y8?

 

usually u can just get away with doin a conversion harnass obd2a to obd2b to run ur stock ecu.

 

But will the obd2b loom plug onto the obd2a engine?

 

You'll need to use a '99 - '00 Y7/Y8 distributor (plug is different, Y5 wont work, they were OBD2A all the way through) Other than that simply use a conversion harness and the OBD2A ECU or get an OBD2B P2P ECU.

Oh so a obd2b loom will connect up to a obd2a engine? Didnt know that, learn something new everyday...
