Icon6 EP3 Brake Problems

Greetings HT community

I hope someone might be able to help me with this problem I've been fighting for several months now.

Gradually my brakes were getting soft and squishy and I noticed that after I stopped at a traffic light my pedal would sink, almost to the floor. I bled the brakes, they improved but then began to do the same, stop at a light and then sink. I had the master cylinder changed. I bought a new MC from Majestic Honda, it was bench bled with all fluids being fresh honda brake fluid and bled the whole system again. They were nice and firm for a few days but went back to geting squishy and dropping after coming to a stop. I changed the brake pads and rotors all around as well as inspected the calipers and brake lines for any sign of problems. No change. Brought it to my mechanic, he bled the system again and cycled the abs system to make sure any air in the ABS was removed. Worked fine for a few days and then back to the squishy pedal.

I'm at a loss here. I don't know if maybe the Master Cylinder is DOA, if maybe the Brake Booster can cause these symptoms, if I have a pin hole leak in a brake line (no fluid leakage at all), if I have some kind of seal in the brake system somewhere that could be bad. In addition to these problem I have a pretty noticeable pop that occurs after the car has been parked for a while like maybe a caliper is stuck. It has been the same before and after the brake pads were changed.

I'm just curious if anyone might have some suggestions or if they've experienced a similar problem and what they did to resolve it.

Thanks

I don't know if this applies to the ep3 but since you don't seem to be losing fluid, some the later model abs modulators have a problem. If I remember correctly, when it goes into the check routine, air is let into the system. Maybe something similiar is happening.
