Basic North American Delsol facts:
Sold for 1993-1997 Model years.
1993-1995 models have a pair of circular aux lights on the front.
1996-1997 don't.
1993-1995 models have OBD-I emissions systems
1996-1997 models have OBD-II emissions systems
1993 models don't have a passenger airbag.
1993 models only came in two trims "S" and "Si"
Both the "S" and "Si" are SOHC motors, 1.5L and 1.6L respectively.
All Si Delsols are SOHC VTEC equipped.
Rough power estimates, at the flywheel would be S ~100, Si ~125hp
"S" models are equipped with steel wheels
"Si" models are equipped with alloy wheels
"S" models have disc brakes in the front, drums in the rear
"Si" models have four wheel disc brakes, sizes are similar to the Civic Ex model
1994-1997, a third model was available. "VTEC"
Delsol VTECs are equipped with B16A DOHC VTEC motors.
Five-speed manual transmissions only.
The B16A, at the flywheel produces ~160hp.
1994-1995 Delsol VTECs have the OBD-I B16A3
1996-1997 Delsol VTECs have the OBD-II B16A2 (Note, this is the same as the 99-00 Civic Si motor)
Redline - 8250rpm
The Delsol VTEC is equipped with four wheel disc brakes, the same size as the Integra GSR, also equipped with similar GSR suspension sway bars, tower bar, VTEC stabilizer, etc.
ABS is standard on 1995-1997 Delsol VTECs, not available in 1994.
Power locks is standard on the 1995-1997 Delsol VTECs, not available in 1994
Low fuel light is standard on the 1995-1997 Delsol VTECs, not available in 1994
These and other things contribute to the 'marginally' higher curb weight of the 95-97 Delsol VTECs over the 1994 model.
Delsol VTECs are rare, the 1997's being the rarest of them all.
The most common colors for the Delsol VTECs are Red and Black. There were only three color options for Delsol VTECs, the rarest of them is a dark green color. (Note the dark green used changed between years)
The Delsol VTEC (curb weight) weighs between 2450-2522lbs stock. The other models weigh a bit less. This is primarily due to the accessories stock on the VTEC trim models. This is less than the 99-00 Civic Si. This is less.
You figure out what it is.

Holy crap, you know you Del Sols. Mind if i come in here with a quick " ?" How do the seats differ, or do they differ at all? I'm trying to track myself down some seats but I heard they are different colors and styles, and I'm confuzzled. Thanks.
Si and VTEC models are have seats with color matched striping.
You're really looking at these colors for striping:
Red stripes, Blue stripes, Green stripes, Gray stripes
S models didn't have color matched striping, and the cloth was of a different pattern and quality than the higher models. You could see this more notably in 96-97 Delsols when they stopped the color matched striping.

you saying that no '93-94 sol has power locks, abs or a low fuel light (you just mentioned the vtec version)?
I also heard that the pre 95's had no trunk release lever...?

with the seats, the 96-97 VTEC had no color in the stripe, correct? Or was it only certain colors that had no stripe? I have a black 96 with black seats and I think I've seen one '97 Si that had no stripe. Am I right or wrong on this???
Oh, and how much are you willing to spend on the seats. I'm getting ready to replace mine with some Corbeau buckets.

I'm not sure about the striping, but I do know that on the late models ('96-'97 probably), the seats were covered in a much better material. It feels soft but it grips your clothes like velcro. Really holds you in place compared to the older seat material.
