92 hatch Valve Cover/Dist Question.
I bought a 92 civic hatchback with a b18c1 motor and a b16a head. I can see it has itr pistons from the spark plug holes. but i need a new computer and plan on getting it dyno tuned to my conditions. So i need to find out what kind of cams, etc i have. Can i take the valve cover off and look at it all with completly Zero experience. Or will i probably mess something up either looking at it or putting it back on? My Transmission has no numbers on it. What is the easiest way to tell what kind of Transmission i have? I also need to find out what fuel pump i have. Carpet is already out and everything so its right there. Can i tell what kind from the inside of the car or must i take off the screws and bolts to pull it out and see? Is this easy to do with zero experience in fuel pumps? And also how would i tell what kind of fuel pump i have after i take it out. I would really appreciate any advice. Pictures would be Awesome if you have the time.

its hard to identify cams with no experience. dizzy should just be a easy one to figure out, if it the dizzy on the head fits perfect without modification, i would say just look up the corresponding dizzy number to that head. the head will have a stamped number. also fuel pump should have a number on it if its stock. which it probably wont, but its always good to know your car, so buy a new one so that you know your car inside out.

Common guys. Please help me out. I still need a way to identifiy my Transmission, fuel pump, and how hard it is to glance inside the valve cover without damage.
go get your car up to about 60 mph. what RPM is your motor at?
unmodified GSR trans u should be at like 3200-3300
unmodified LS u should be at or under 3000
unmodified B16 trans u should be above 3400 or so

Yeah. I need a new computer and i dont have a computer i can borrow from anyone except my other. Reg ecu. No vtec no chip no dyno. and i really dont want to hurt my engine with some crappy ecu giving way to little gas, etc.
