Default 1992 Honda Accord EX Tailpipe solutions???

The car seems to have a smaller than usual tailpipe. I was wondering about a bolt-on or clamp on exhuast tip. Has anybody installed one? How do you do it?
Suggestions are welcome.

just a tip? yeah, you can get one. they have screws on the muffler-side that touch the stock tip, and it centers. like a globe on a ceiling fan or light in your house. the one you linked to has a clamp-style attachment though. on my 91 its like 1.5" at the tip, i think.

Well, the tip is fine is you are expecting only an addition to the looks...

Definitely don't expect a positive increase in performance or sound..

That said, there is a screw setup, 1 screw on some cars, 2 on others that are used to attach tips to the exhaust piping itself

Not looking for performance just looks. It seems the diameter is about 1.5 inches on the inlet [where the tailpipe ends] so I wasn't sure what size exhaust tip to get. I was also wondering if anyone else had installed on and could give instructions or help.

What size???????

basically, anything bigger than 1.5 will work. its just a cover for your muffler tip, so as long as it slides over the pipe and the screws set on the pipe, it should be fine.

if its a clamp style (like you linked to), you'll need to get one that is 1.5 ID (inside diameter). measure the diameter of the muffler tip with a tape measure to be sure its the right size first though.

Thanks for all replys. A gay exhuast tip is better than a rusty super skinny pipe.

Would this work even thought it says it can be bolted on exept hardware is not included? Where would you buy the bolts?

Once again, just go to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts or NAPA, they have all those parts right there and you can size it up.

The in-store one's are more expensive than the one's online so I would like to save a little money. Saving a trip would also be better.
