Default crank position sensor problems

i have a 91 crx dx with a d16y7 in it running on an obd0 pm6. the distributor code is TD 18u which i looked up and apparently is a sohc zc? so if my research was correct the crank position sensor is in the distributor? ive been throwing code 4 and the car runs like ***. i looked up the d16y7 location for it and saw the sensor and plug not plugged in so i began searching. what do i need to do to make this work? a new distributor?

YES. crank sensor on obd0 -obd1 is in the dizzy. you proly need a new dizzy. obd2 engines have the crank sensor on the oil pump which is what you see hangin

THWAP YEE SHALL SEARCH! THOUGH SHALT STOP GIVING FORTH INACCURATE INFO!!

lol

Z6 is its only style

d16y series and d15b2/7 and d16a6 share mounting ability

Putting a d16y7/8 disty on will require a biut of playing with the mounts to correct the timing

as chivid said, the sensor behind the crank pulley is the speed fluctuation sensor and is only used on OBD2 - if you are running the engine with the OBD0 ECU, you don't need that sensor - just leave it not connected - the TD18U distributor is the factory distributor for the 90-91 CRX Si D16A6, 90-91 Civic Si/EX D16A6 and 90-91 CRX HF D15B6 - the TD18U is the correct distributor for the PM6 ECU - you could also use the TD02U which is the same thing but came in the 88-89 models
