Default types S in an 02 base model rsx
i have a 02 base model rsx auto that's my girlfriends and the motor totaly screwed it's self... the cam saddles destroyed them self's... but any way... she wants the type s motor is it as simple as droping the type s motor and running the type s auto computer
or do i have to use the type s tranny ?

type-s never came as an auto, she would have to do a motor/trans/ecu swap which entails a lot of work, time and money!

Sell what you can off the 02 base and just buy a RSX-S is the best advice I can give you, but keep it for yourself, don't give it to her! LOL

that thread starts out by talking about doing an auto-to-5 speed conversion; the guy isn't running a type s motor with an auto tranny.
