Default exhaust (already searched around)

i have a 2001 nhbp type r. The previous owner put an ebay header,no name test pipe, and removed the resonator.the test pipe flange isnt the right size so it rattles and its annoying.im trying to find a replacement cat to bolt up to a 2.5 collector on a jdm header(probably dc sports or maybe spoon if money permits. i also need to find a good cat-back system.I have heard that the skunk2 megapower r systems arent worth the money and to buy something like mugen, spoon, or t1r. I put a megapower on my s2000 and it was very responsive and sounded great. i want something with a throaty sound that i can pass emissions in MD with. Thanks for any input

There is a ton of vids on You Tube that I've looked at that might help you make a decision. I know it's not a popular name brand but check out the Yonaka cat back on the LS Integra. Sounds pretty good if your trying to save some bucks.

If you don't care about reducing weight, looking into the original Tanabe Super Medallion Hyper. It's one of the best sounding exhaust for an inline four engine I've owned. I'd rate it above the Mugen twin-loop and sir-g in sound quality.
