Hey guys!!

Well Im new to this honda-tech forum thingy, so bare with me please! I recently bought me a new hatch about 3-4 mnths ago and since then been fixing it up like crazy!! This car is not going to be a racing car but more of a show car, but I do want a few mods engine wise. Maybe increase horsepower or tuning to the enigne. Just want you guys input on what I should do next. Not just engine but look wise too. I want to make my cars appearnace one of the best looking hatches out there, but I need your help PLEASE!! I trust you guys, you know more aobut this stuff then me, Im still learning!! Thanks a lot!

or you could ditch everything and get something better than a single cam slammer

 

did a mod move this here for laughs? in seriousness sell your wheels and go back to stock, go lower, and k swap it. otherwise sell everything put i back to stock, drive it and buy something worthwhile.

 

yea, I gotta type r grill just havent put it on yet and dont hate on the panda badge...thats my theme!!! lol cmon guys you gotta at least think this is some what I nice car, i mean ive seen worse!

The jdm badge is stupid. The wheels are too. (I had rims like that on my black couple when I was 16. I assume you're <17) I lol'd at the grill too because I thought about doing that when I was 16 to match the "theme." Thank god I didn't!

and ITR suspension and wheels would do you good.
k sport fully adjustable coilovers
complete CTR interior
and a k24a6/k20a2 head swap will get you started.
stay away from badges and stickers. i do stickers but i get tired and take them off.
50% window tint.
keep the exhaust quiet.

I turn heads everyehre I go in this car...HMMM I wonder why? Maybe cus it dosent look good huh? Oh yea and Im still putting this thing together, like I said I just got this man, Im still adding and doing stuff to it! Its not like its a complete finished project!!! So of corse im going to change the grill and of corse and ehat I mean by theme, is cmon the thing looks like a F**ckin panda lol, ***** nice!!! Black & white...yuh digg??

rarely can anyone be constructive or respectful in there with honda threads so i moved it. basically, it's cool to be a dick on parts of this site, especially those that have nothing to do with cars. you'll learn that fast.

anyway, appearance stuff is too subjective.

i say get a go-autoworks sohc turbo kit, possibly put a vtec head on, swap to a p28 ecu, tune it and have hella fun.

ok honestly i think this hatch is off to a good start cause where im from, cars like this are 99% junk and rust buckets.....yes he has somethings that i would change and IMO those would be the headlights, and grill(but you already have this), paint the door handles and mirrors and a swap...maybe interior that SUITES YOU. but honestly man nice job.

its not a bad start, but i would paint the front and back lip, save up for some coilovers and a new grill

 

Preferably one that doesn't diminish the performance of the car.

I know nothing about show cars so I will not comment further on that subject. I will just say that you should be building the car for you so I don't know why you're asking for suggestions on how to style your car.

 

IMO you need to paint the side skirt,door handles, mirrors, get the Si grill and lip, go back to stock headlights, remove the tint, pick up a CTR wing,and ditch the wheels....

 

Lose the panda badges for sure lol's...well for me I love CF. hood,wing, and trunk would look bad *** and with som slipstreams lose them wheels...It's good to fix your engine up, don't get me wrong. But im sure your not going to be racing at the track or any one, so fix ur exterior

 

It's your car not ours. Do what you personally want with it.

Before you purchase anything else, research as much as possible, and not only in the cosmetic areas. Remember the word function, it's rarely used anymore.

 

headlights, grill, tints, lip, and wheels all need to go imo... replace with the ctr OEM headlights, OEM type r grill, get a chargge speed lip and paint match it as for wheels just do something different.. o yea and slammmmm that ish

 

What the haters are basically trying to say here is that it looks like every other Civic out there that a young kid drives. Research.

 

lose that fake lip. Get a OEM
and color match the sides, rear and Grill u have.

little stuff like that will make your car look alot better.

Car doesn't look bad IMO. Honestly it's better than half the crap I see around here. I prefer stock styled headlights over the blacked out ones. You said you have a different grill so thats good. I would also go lower. You don't have to dump it, but it still looks a little high to me.

If you're going more for the looks department you could maybe get the lips painted and the door handles too. Maybe some different mirrors if you wanted. HID's? If you want to keep your car quite you could polish your stock muffler instead of getting aftermarket.

Build your car for you man and know that haters gonna hate. You could dump $20k into an econo beater and someone will still not like something.

 

How many threads do you really need for this same basic topic? So far I know of three off hand that you've made asking us what we think of your car or what you should do to your car.

DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO TO YOUR CAR. STOP NEEDING OTHERS TO THINK FOR YOU.

If you just listen to what everyone tells you to do you're going to end up with a patchwork car that looks a lot like a lot of other Civics.
