Using thinner Headgasket
Alright so i've recently started looking into thinner head gaskets, I have a jdm h22 with 10.6.1 CR, I was interesting in the mahle gold 11.5.1 or the type s pistons but really dont want to touch my block for no reason,
Has anyone used thinner headgaskets? theres some that are .14 which would bump CR to about 11.1 on my h22. however, would additional work need to be done? is there goin to be enough clearance from pistion to head? and the valves, I did research but didn't find much on using headgaskets to bump CR

don't think many people have done what you are talking about. For the small bump in compression, i'd rather just get pistons that'd do the same job (if you're getting pistons anyways).
For a thinner headgasket, you should measure it out or have your machine shop measure it out. I would say that as long as it seals as a gasket should, it'd be okay. For reference, see if you can find how much can be shaved off the deck from resurfacing, and that'll give you an idea of what the limits should be for how thin of a headgasket you can run.
