So me and a buddy are working on his 1990 Si rex and the ecu was reading the 9blink code which I found out meant your dis. is junk so he bought a reman we bolted it on but now can't get the car to start at all. It has the d15a6 in it and we have a identical distributor idk if the wiring is the same we brought the core in when we purchased it. I'm starting to think that this 1 is just junk. I couldn't find any specifics on how to solve this problem other than get the motor dead center. Is that with the dis. on or off and which direction does it need to be faced. Sorry never replaces a dizzy before only done the cap, rotor and wires.

with the motor top dead center, the rotor on the distributer should be facing to the lower left
