Default ITR rear wiper delete

UPDATE>>
I got my wiper delete today and installed in a rush. Didn't have time to fully document but got it done before dark. Forgot my camera so used crappy iphone pics. IMO looks much cleaner.

What are your opinions on this? Does it make the rear look more clean or does it look like it's missing something?
My USDM ITR didn't come with a rear wiper so it looks normal to me

USDM 97 R's don't have a rear wiper.

Rear wiper is pretty pointless.

There was a write-up a long time ago with the (OEM) parts that you needed. Try searching the archives to see what you can find.

Or just remove it and find a plug of the correct size at the junkyard to plug the hole in the glass.

Firewall, or door, grommet from 1st gen Ford Probes fit perfect and look "good" (I don't think any of them, including the Honda solution look good, only the 97 ITR glass looks good without the rear wiper IMO since there's no hole to plug, maybe RS glass? can't remmeber if they had the wiper or not).

washer: 5/16 washer
rubber: 76707-ST7-000
plug: 90301-SR3-000

i wasn't aware 97s didn't have a rear wiper either. guess i never paid close enough attention. I knew the squirter on the roof was pointless...so the delete process is pretty much to pull out the existing motor/wiper arm, get the plug/rubber/bolt/washer and seal up the hole in the glass. hmmm i may do this.

Skip the $40 in honda parts, pay $1 at your local you-pull-it and go grab some grommets. IMO they look at least as good as the honda setup (which I've never liked) and are $free minus junkyard entrance fee.

to add to this, USDM 97 R's never came with windshield wipers (the glass doesnt even have a hole) therefore they didnt have the roof rear squirter from the factory either. JDM ITR's didnt have rear wipers (or the hole or roof squirter) unless it was an ITRx.

there are a few sellers here that sell the rubber plug for like 12 bucks or so. I bought one just never got around to doing it.

I've also seen the metal one on ebay but guess you could just go to the dealer

When I had my rear wiper I only used it maybe 3 times when I got caught in the rain and that's when I was out of town in it. The caR never left the house if it was raining otherwise. I just thought it had a cleaner look with it removed.

same here...and for reassurance i applied hondabond in the plugs groove so it completely seals the glass, wiped off the excess hondabond when i installed it and viola! if i ever needed to remove it (which i dont see any reason to) it still isnt permanent with hondabond...looks way cleaner and the wiper is pointless anyway

And on a resale type ordeal, you think someone would raise hell about this?

I have a extra front cowl and I was thinking of shaving the front squirter aswell as removing the back one.
My R is getting prepped for paint and I've thought about removing the whole rear wiper but thought, it's factory and it is a R. Maybe I'm just funny about these types of things.

I'm picky also but i wish there were some sort of delete plug for the rear squirter.
