the ef hatch cheap build 500whp??? hoping
so i just got this dpfi 90 ef hatch shell for $200 it has coilovers and si seats. its blue and has NO dents. i have this d16z6 that i am building will post pics of the build tomorrow.
not really i have a lot of parts that i can trade and i know a lot of people that work at shops all i have only paid $200 all together and i have a semi built d16z6 it has eagle H beams and wiseco pistons i got it on trade for a blown ls with arp head studs.
better do some port work and have a big *** turbo if you hope to make 500. and i would certainly not recommend aiming for a number that high with stock sleeves either.
im getting a block guard and a gt35r turbo for $120 got my new gasket set for $15 today and im getting a bisimoto 3.6 cam and cam gear.
i dont think 500whp is hard its all how you build the motor and the tune im getting it tuned by a guy that i sold my old car too and he works at a shop and tunes and turbos cars all the time. i got a lot of stuff for free like my tranny, flywheel, mounts, axles and gsr TB. im going to p&p tomorrow if i have the time.

a 35r for $120? how the hell did you manage that.
what made you decide to use a blockgaurd? i've found numerous occasions where people have made awesome numbers safely without it. i personally feel that it does more harm than good. but i mean thats just me anyway.

500whp can be had for less then 2500
will it last a long time? no. the motor will be okay, but the turbo kit will not be durable
you can make a rock solid motor for less then a grand

you could try posting your block. a lot of people believe it is a better alternative to the block guard. it is also inexpensive to do. and since the d series motors already have a lot of angularity with the 1.52:1 rod stroke ratio, this will at least help with distributing some of the flexing from just the cylinder walls to the outside walls of the block as well. just an idea.
good luck on your build.

you tap into the side of the block at certain points and insert threaded studs that touch the side of the cylinder walls. these studs will distribute the load from just the cylinder walls to the outside of the block. Meaning in order to move the cylinder walls you have to move the outside of the block as well.
This thread is pretty detailed. Check it out.

that would seem to me like it would weaken the block but it looks good ill look more into it thanks. i just got an 88 crx si for 450 today and its got a z6 swap ill post some pics later
posting has been done for a few decades (all the way back to the 60's if not even further back) so I think that should speak for itself. but take it as you will. nice find on the crx btw, and again, good luck with your build,
got the block as is so havent had time to do anything to it i got from this stupid kid that was thinking his stock dpfi was faster than a b16 lol
