Accord seat belt warning beep
In our 91 Accord, the drivers side shoulder belt gets stuck in the forward position. I checked the fuse and it's not blown. I manually cranked the belt back into the locked position and disconnected the power to the motor so it wouldn't take the belt forward whenever I opened the door. The warning light on the dash keeps flashing and beeping as if the belt wasn't in place. I was told their was a way to stop this. Is this so? Or, if it's inexpensive, is there a way to fix this?
Honda has to fix the seatbelt mechanism if its not working properly...as long as you havent messed with it in any way...bring it back to a Honda dealer and they should fix it for free
in the meantime if the beeping annoys you unplug the quick connectors on the box under you passenger seat. that is the auto seatbelt brain.
i just locked mine in the back position, and pulled the plugs years ago.. i hate electric seatbelts.

Ahhh, I hate "Seatbelts of Death". I'm always in a rush and that doesn't work too well with auto belts when you try to jump out of the car really quick. I nearly hung myself every day jumping out of my 90 when it was running.
Darn DeathBelts!

i just went through this with my accord. honda says they don't have to fix it. My seatbelts worked, but the light still flashed and the beeper went off. so i took the light out of the dash cluster, and the beeper out of the seatbelt computer.
