im at a stand still right now.... i have a 95 civic ex... the d16Z6 engine, and i want more speed!!! well, my first plan was to turbo the d16 and then pistons and rods... but i was told that i would blow my engine, and i dont want to invest in something like that... so i was told i should do the H22A, but then someone said too heavy, not worth it blah blah blah... and i dont know what to do... i can afford really anyhting right now under 10K, all i really want, is SPEED SPEED SPEED!!!!... so any opinions on what shuld do is more than welcome! thanx

You will do just fine with a bolt-on Turbo kit such as one from Apex'i or Greddy. Completely safe, and tons-o-powa!

 

there are A LOT of options... b16a, b18c, ls/vtec, b20 s/c, itr... Anything s/c's and if you build your engine inside you can run higher boosts without blowing your engine. IMO nos is worse than turbos but as long as you build your engine inside you will be fine... wasn't there mention of some chick who drives an eg with like 20psi somewhere on this board?

 

but alot of people said i will blow my engine... i was ready to buy the Apex' turbo kit with the GTR intercooler upgrade... then they said, say bye bye to engine, i was like uhh nvm.. next, what would YOU do if it were ur car?

If you go turbo i suggest b18c1 and build the hell out of it. With 10 grand you have enough to build a 11 sec street car.

 

keep the d16 and go all motor
